CUE is proud to support Rhode Island FC (RIFC) in elevating their matchday experience through an integrated activation that connected more fans to the club’s mobile app and brought a new level of energy to Centreville Bank Stadium. Working in partnership with FanThreeSixty, we helped deliver a synchronized smartphone light show that quickly became one of the club’s highest-performing digital features of the season.
THE GOAL: RIFC aimed to drive more fans to its mobile app and invite supporters to play a more active role in the gameday environment. They wanted something simple, exciting, and instantly shareable, an experience that made fans feel part of the moment the second they walked into the venue.
THE SOLUTION: Using the CUE SDK integrated by FanThreeSixty, RIFC launched a fully synchronized light show inside the club’s mobile app. The feature was promoted across multiple channels, including mobile messaging, a “Know Before You Go” email, social media, and in-stadium video screens—encouraging fans to download the app to unlock the experience.
When team introductions began, the stadium came alive as fans’ phones lit up in a choreographed display tied perfectly to the music. The result was a unified visual moment that amplified the venue's energy.
THE RESULTS: Within two weeks, RIFC saw more than 500 new app registrations, and Active Mobile Users doubled compared to the previous month. The mobile communications promoting the light show generated the highest impressions of any gameday activation this season, with engagement rates landing 10% above the club’s average.
